Wall art: travel dreaming

on

Hi guys! Happy New Year! I know I haven’t published anything in months and honestly I was thinking about letting the blog “disappear”, however I realised that although I am busy I still like to create new DIY projects and tutorials every now and then. So in 2016 I’m back. I won’t promise to keep the blog updated weekly, however I’ll be more consistent than the last months 🙂

Supplies

  • blank canvas
  • scrapbooking paper or old magazines or catalogues
  • paintbrush
  • white glue
  • acrylic paint: white + other colors for the spurts
  • toothbrush
  • scissors

How to make it / Realizzazione

letters

1. Cut from the magazines or scraps of paper the letters you will need to form the names of the cities (Here you can find a template of the letters I used).

2. blank canvaApply a coat of white paint on the canvas and let it dry.

colorful canvas3. For the spurts of color: put a dollop of paint on the tootbrush and, with the help of a finger, splash the color on the canvas. Repeat with all the colors you like and let it dry.

Lascia asciugare.

4. Paste the letters on the canvas. Before pasting them I suggest to simply place them on the canvas and form the words, so that you can appreciate the final effect and decide how best to style them.
